Being unmarried is not socially acceptable. People and clerics can accuse you of homosexuality or other perverted things.
They will constantly pressure you to get married as soon as possible.
There is an extreme social and religious control on everyone's lives including men.
Also obviously not all men get to have an attractive woman .
Many men have to get married to ugly fat women and put up with them for life.

For life ? Not really. Divorce is fairly well accepted in Islam, not even mentioning repudiation. I'm no expert though.
Besides, if you're not happy with one wife you can get an other, since polygamy is allowed.

Polygamy is reserved only for ultra-rich as no father would give his daughter to an already married man.
Divorce will have social consequences . And it will be amplified even more as most muslims will have to get married to cousins or relatives . As you will be getting arranged marriage proposals from only those women.
Also consanguine marriage is something which I don't consider civilized.
