Because to make it big as a streamer now you have to build a audience off site. So that means make a popular jewtube channel or some other social media which requires a lot more work than just playing the newest games and shit like how old steamers got popular.

a lot of people try to become streamers but can't get over 10 viewers for months/years. it's not as easy as it used to be. in addition to that you also have to be entertaining and outgoing which i'm not.
