Is this an India / Pakistan war starting?

I'm just a dumb kiwi whitey so I really have no idea what's going on between India and Pakistan, except what CNN etc etc tells me.

I.e.

1. Two countries of crazy brown people
2. Hate each other
3. Both have nukes
4. Are currently doing airstrikes on each other

But I know many of our bros on here are real genuine curries, who will have a much clearer idea what's going on here. Help a brother understand. Is this a major escalation? Or are they more or less constantly throwing rocks at each other like this?

I find it even more concerning considering both have Nukes and share a border with China which also has Nukes. China shares a border wih Russia which also has Nukes.

tbf I don't think china is entering this war, at least directly, there's no reason for India or Pakistan to poke the dragon

unless you mean they have a chinese city as one of their nuclear targets, which God-forbid they make the mistake of targeting

Yes bro I live near the border. There have been airstrikes every night for the last 2 days. I can literally hear the blasts from our air defence missiles shooting at the paki drones. There was a total blackout yesternight and the night before as well. Most likely there will be one today as well. So far we have shot down most of their drones so no major damage but I recently heard some officer died in a town nearby so maybe the casualties are beginning to mount.
