Discussion Is there a specific place you want to be buried when you die?

This also applies if you are cremated. When you die, no matter the reason for death, is there a specific place you want to be buried/have your ashes spread?

There's nowhere that comes to mind for me. I don't really feel a connection to a special place on the planet. I guess it doesn't really matter to me where my corpse is buried.

I do have a fantasy though. I wish at some point in my living life I found an absolutely beautiful spot somewhere deep in nature with a stunning view. Maybe somewhere high in the mountains. Somewhere where you could sit for hours just watching the sunset over the natural beauty of the planet. And despite how beautiful it is, it is not a popular landmark that people ever come to or even know about. It would be a special unique place that is completely untouched and unknown about by humans. I want to be buried at this place with a small grave with my name on it.

Random animals would wander around the burial site hiding food around it for later consumption or maybe some birds can fly onto and rest on my gravestone. Just sounds like a quiet and peaceful place for my body to be put to rest.

It's important that I have a fitting end. That being said, two possibilities come to mind:

1) Buried within a landfill site. A trash end for trash genetics.
2) Incinerated and flushed down a toilet, just like my hopes and dreams.

I'd be satisfied with either of these.

Now that you mention it, no—not really. I guess at this point I'm actually fairly convinced that even if there is no God in the sense that I understand Him, some concept of a 'soul' still exists and whoever I am will in some manner continue to live on after death.

I'm not entirely sure how, but I'm pretty convinced that will be the case.
