But theoretically, are these kinds of relationships common?

I'm a very cynical, skeptical, nihilistic and jaded individual. OF COURSE in my view of the world, most relationships are just tedious grinds, full of nagging, where one person usually uses and abuses the other, or they both equally abuse each other.

But my fucked up view of life aside, could what I described in the title be common?

Cause I imagined it for a second and it was so nice. The world felt warm and fuzzy for a second till the impossibility and unreachability of it all sobered me up.
