Now he gives interview and holds seminars against the very behaviour he participated in. Maybe he writes a book or something.

And normies congratulate him for his difficult journey and suck his dick for speaking out against his former occupation. All his sins are forgiven. He is the centre of attention. He also garners fame and money.

And in the vast majority of cases, this person now has a wife or girlfriend.
