Reddit, because it has an upvote/downvote system that hides unpopular/dissenting opinions and promotes a circlejerking echo chamber, attracts certain kinds of people and repels others. Cowards, brain-dead sheep, virtue signalers, and people who are desperate to be thought of as part of the "in" crowd in every walk of life will be drawn to Reddit. Conversely, people who have jobs that require courage, independent thought, discipline, and leadership generally will not want to post there.

That's why it's perfectly rational for one to think that most of the "what it's like to be a ______ (insert cool/badass job title here)" posts on Reddit are bullshit.
