Forcing a person to believe something, lying to them about life, all this to prevent them from committing suicide, is this the right thing to do?

No. Sometimes living is just a forced continuation of suffering.

I would say it depends on the reasons someone wanna rope for. If the dude wanna rope because of something that you think could be fixed in the future and you need to lie about something to make him survive, maybe it's good. If the dude is also making impulsiv decision maybe gaining some time and seeing if he is really clear minded about roping is also an option.
If he is serious, has thought about it seriously, and don't want to live because of something he will never be able to change, then the best is to wish him to find peace in his death.

Depends. I'd say it's ethical if you know the person will at some point be glad that they're alive. Otherwise no.

How would one even commit suicide painlessly without a gun or a large building or a rope?
