I'm trying to remember if it's always been that way, I can't remember which plotlines were in which seasons, it all blends together.

From the outset she has valued other cultures though like when she did the nude dance as Tawonga in the 1989 series premiere "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" (the Christmas special where they transitioned from Ullman to a standalone)
