My granddad is a lazy bum and that was the exact thing that made my father a very hard working man, I don't think it's genetic, it's probably the amount of care you get from your parents that contributes to it the most

I think it actually can. Though the way you grew up is usually a lot more telling than genetics for things such as laziness.
