As a mask for my ugliness and social awkwardness I just play a very eccentric character while at the office, it definitely works because my coworkers think of me as a fun high energy individual.

Been the funny guy in a handful of social groups. It is shit. Extremely unfulfilling. My experiences are why I am completely jaded about socializing in any context. I really bought into the personality meme and managed to climb a few social ladders. Very early blackpilling experience to work your way in with people near the top in terms of social status amongst your locale, only to be met with "damn dude, you're actually pretty cool, if only you were better looking you would totally get bitches".
Tangentially related, one of the biggest problems with social circle game when you're ugly is that you cannot reap the primary benefit of running social circle game in the first place. That is creating new connections in the social graph. Usually what happens is you become friends with someone of higher status through circumstance that forces them to hang around you long enough to like you in spite of your looks. What then happens is they introduce you to their other friends who are going to judge you on your looks alone as negative first impressions will kill the desire anyone has to get to know you. Eventually your friend realizes they're taking a status hit by associating with you so they'll eventually ghost you.

I can be the funny guy because I like to jest about life which can take the form of cynicism & sarcasm. So I try to find humour in every bits of life including the bad but at the end of the day it's cope and people see through that so it wares off after a while and then people get annoyed and bite back by saying you're always negative. Added to that low erotic capital and it's game over.
