Is it common for autists to struggle with empathy?

I’m told I have low empathy even when I’m trying to show and explain how I care. And ever since I was diagnosed it’s been getting blamed on my autism. But online it says that autists just express empathy differently. What’s your thoughts?

I do think I have low empathy to a degree but even still I’m still very prone to feeling guilt. But my low empathy is not due to autism I don’t think, I think it’s due to how shit my life has been and how shit it’s going to continue being. And the fact that 90% of the planet lives a better life than me.

I do have empathy, but it completely vanishes for people who attack me in the slightest. Some Brit’s stole my tank in HLL and I unironically wished them a ICBM to be dropped on their houses.

I view it as a good thing. It's not like I can empathize with normie sexhaver problems anyway. I see their problems as insignificant.

Depends on your flavor of autism. It could just be a you thing, it could be because of the 'tism.

Claiming that someone has little to no empathy is an insane thing to do. They aren't in your head, they don't know what you think.
