I get severe anxiety when it comes to talking to people on the phone. I hate the sound of my voice and it's much easier for me to form my thoughts through text lol. I'm always overthinking what to say/what to leave out of my text. I'd never do voicechat, even if it became a feature on this site

Yeah. When people say "if you're afraid to talk, just use the chat then" it's retarded because people use discord so they can just talk and not have to type everything out lol. Discord is known mainly for voice chat so I don't think the people chatting are actually paying attention to the text messages if they're in an engaging conversation
