I've been thinking that this quest to become a 10/10 is just a result of corporate greed. People are brainwashed into believing that they need to be perfect so they'll spend money on makeup and clothes and cars. Cultures in the past have thought that being fat was attractive while it's widely shunned today. What we think about the people around us is ingrained into our minds by society. For example, I logically don't have anything against gay people, but society stamped homophobia into my mind from a young age so the thought of doing anything homosexual makes me physically ill. I think our plight is caused by cold, calculating, soulless CEOs at the top of the food chain that want to extort the masses for billions of dollars.

Everything about modern society is unnatural. Are you disgusted by technology? In my mind, there's nothing wrong with a man loving another man. However, when I see a thumbnail for a random gay video when I'm browsing porn, it makes me want to throw up. I experimented with other boys when I was in elementary school. Then as I saw how much other people hated fags, my mindset changed and was permanently solidified in a negative state.

Hypergamy is natural, but environmental pressures used to exert a lot of strain on women to choose sooner and made committed providers more valuable. Women really suck at surviving, so they have to be attractive so those that are good at surviving (men) will share with them.
