Serious Is grad school very depressing?

It’s a mix.

Socially it’s depressing because I have to see the same small cohort of people every day, and I don’t really feel much belonging with any of them, not even with my small normie group of rice and curries.

Also I’ve flirted with and asked out multiple girls in my class and haven’t had success beyond a few first dates.

But what I’m learning is very interesting and challenging, and will enable me to careermaxx. So it’s fulfilling in that way.

It feels more like high school (small and cliquey) than undergrad though, does it not? Maybe depends on the program/field.

I heard not, because grad school is more like everybody is everybody's enemy it's more closer to work than school
