And I think it got pretty shit

The last game that I played was GTA V about 6 years ago

But now there are so many microtransactions everywhere and LGBT propaganda

Also the games have not improved significantly and became more expensive

There is no need to develop better games because there are easier ways to make money (remakes for example)

Thats why we will never see GTA VI

This pretty much. Indie devs, smaller studios are the only worthy ones to support. Mainstream is utterly ruined. Other than that replaying classics and modding them is a way to go also.

gaming has been dogshit since its start due to technical limitations and now that we have billonaire companies with thousands of developers they cant pull a game that isnt micro transaction DRM linear shitty barebone game or either a shitty multiplayer game filled with cheaters. Theres never the slightest effort put into making the game replayable or focus on a single game for years because otherwise they wouldnt milk money off shitty lazy sequels

Its not your pc. Modern games are mostly developed by graphics designers these days. In the past,game programmers had engineering backgrounds in robotics and physics. They knew how to test games to make sure they could run on the slow consumer hardware that was available at the time. In 2022, the vast majority of "gamedevs" can't do anything without advanced tooling that now exists (unreal engine, unity). Gamedev is all scripting these days. The tooling is incredible, but it lowered the bar to the point where any random monkey can do something
"serviceable". Its gamer's fault really, we as a collective lowered our standards and game companies took noticed. They know they dont have to release well optimized, well tested and efficent software anymore because hoards of NPC retards will buy for the brand name alone. Gamers are kind of like SIMPS and devs are women. Men lowered their standards and now have lost all power in the sexual market. It's ultimately our fault gaming is dead.

I remember in the 90's how epic Super Nintendo multiplayer games were and we were playing huge hours. Then in 2000-2005 got into MMORPG's and they were so epic and playing humongous hours. And computer games realize I was playing Counterstrike in 2000. Half-Life before that. And DOOM before that.

Thats the problem is they focused on graphics. Graphics is something autistic programmers and management and game developers who don't actually play video games could focus on.

i am excited for dying light 2 but apart from the parkour the game seems to be your standard triple a games.still i remember when every year you had like 3-5 genre defining games and a bunch of other cool games.now triple a is a joke and the indie scene is the only scene worth caring about

Yeah, Overall games quality went to shit when games became mainstream. Normies just want to watch movies so most games play themselves today and have shitty le mature story. At though good games happens. most of games are dumb down, because normies are brain dead. I still play modern video games, beacause it's one of few copes that i still have left.

I've been desperately looking for a game to suck me in lately but nothing I get is any good. Starbase is okay but there's no playerbase, bought tom clancy's wildlands today for ten bucks but its super repetitive to the point I can't play it for more than a couple hours at a time. Last game to really suck me in and make me lose track of time were valheim and satisfactory but i've played them too much and other survivalcraft games are awful. I'll be buying Elden Ring when it comes out in a month I just hope I can bring myself to play it.
