Is extreme narcissism a good cope?

After reading ERs manifesto, I keep asking myself if extreme narcissism is a good cope if you're already close to roping.

I mean, while ER shows abundant signs of narcissism in his videos & manifesto, he still wasn't narcissistic enough to want to continue living... he was, however, narcissistic enough to be clear that only HE should have the right to kill himself (i.e. the passages in his manifesto where he talks about having to kill himself before the cops can get to him and put him in jail - he didn't entertain the idea that he could be killed by a cop DURING the rampage, if I remember correctly).

But, if you're an extreme narcissist, you should think you're too valuable to be killed (even by yourself), right? Also, any kind of criticism should bounce off the 'bubble of gloriousness' that you created for yourself, right? Of course, it would be very hard to convince your own brain of your God-like status if you don't like yourself in the first place, but it has to be possible! ER was pretty extreme already but he still didn't manage that last step into Godhood (i.e. the absolute conviction that you must not die).

Also, extreme narcissism might give you an 'easy' way out in regards to rejection by foids or any members of society: If they can't see your magnificence they're just not worth your time and effort (i.e. they're lesser beings). It's not a healthy cope by any stretch, but quite possibly better than roping?

Can I get a cope > rope, guys? :kys:

I'm gonna kill myself within the next 7 years or OD so no its really not

Don't, tho. You're one of the biggest posters on here. Dudes need your input. Honestly.

Extreme narcissism is not just a great cope, but the ONLY cope. Because hot women only adore sociopaths. You think extreme ALTRUISM would make a difference?

I suppose not, I didn't see Ghandi drown in a sea of pussy. :D

Self loathing makes u realize your own self and u become more self aware of ur weaknesses and ur introspection level rises, On other hand narcissism can make u blind to certain faults in urself but it will just cause more harm than good.
Know thyself > be a fucking pseudo chad in ur head

Actually Ghandi had his way with bitches. But in spite of being a preacher of peace, he was far from a meek man. It definitely takes a narcissist to lead and inspire insurrection.

Yes, but if you're already close to roping, realizing your own weaknesses and focusing on them might push you over the edge. I would think narcissism could better prevent you from that final step, even if it is only extreme cope you tell yourself for the sole purpose of not roping.

Self-loathing can help you to better yourself (which, I suppose you would wanna do after you've got the idea of roping out of your mind for good), but when you're already that low, you might need something as a crutch to get out of there first...

Damn, Ghandi was a player? I like that!

I suppose the most attractive personality would be a man who COULD use aggression and violence but consciously chooses not to and preaches peace instead? :kys: Maybe gym IS the answer? Because, I certainly wouldn't be able to defend myself against a 12yo.

Just do whatever u can to avoid roping urself

Nope, not really in my experience. It may lift your mood in the short-term, but because your self-image will not be based on reality, it will be extremely vulnerable to exterior threats. Also, it prevents you from actually doing things that would improve your objective value.

Sounds reasonable. Maybe actually improving yourself is the better way, i.e. gym, looksmaxxing, etc :kys:

From experience the best way to be happy and functional is to have a self-esteem based on objective reality: neither too high nor too low. If you're objectively a loser, it's better to think yourself as a loser who can improve, rather than as a winner (too optimistic), or a loser who can't improve (too pessimistic).

I've a huge ego and I'm quite vain myself

What about these videos on YouTube that tell you that you can attract good things into your life by telling yourself and thinking that they're already true? This whole 'thanking the universe and it will provide' stuff? (Example: ) Are they worth the time?

He did? I don't remember reading that. Only the lottery thing and that final party he tried (where he got his ankle broke, etc).
