Yes this is the future and its not that far away. 5-10, maybe 15 years at worst. It's all basically settled science, its mainly a matter of being able to create batteries strong enough and joints small and plentiful enough to hold up a humanoid body, all solveable problems that are currently being worked on. china and Japan will come out with it first, probably at a cheaper price point. They'll be able to perform menial household chores, hold conversations and be fucked, which is everything you could reasonably need from a foidbot.

The only countries I see banning it are muslim countries and the UK (basically same thing) because the UK has a heavily entrenched and powerful radfem political class. The EU will at worst tax it and I dont picture the US or canada doing anything.
