Higher chance than drowning is you getting aspiration pneumonia. Which is a terrible type of pneumonia. Vomitting and then inhaling it (but not drowning) will introduce gut bacteria into the lungs that the lungs cannot handle. And because this type of respiratory infection is very difficult to treat you have a good chance of spending a lot of time in the hospital and racking up a colossal hospital bill. And you might end up with debilitating complications for life when you do get out.

To be fair, if ones gonna ctb by alcohol, I’d use 2M2B (tert amyl alcohol) instead. It’s not toxic to the liver, but it’s sedative properties are 20 times that of ethanol. 30 ml is the lethal dose.
