Discussion Is a driver's licence worth it?

I'm 22 without a driver's licence and I have a ton of free time on my hands right now, couple of months probably. I walk everywhere and don't own a car anyways, but my mother is really adamant about how important it is for me to get one. I also hate cars and don't know a single thing about them. Would it be worth it to spend a ton of money on a piece of paper that permits me to do something I don't have the need to do? I argue no but maybe I'm wrong.

I like being alone and unbothered , always have been. But for the last year or so I have really been getting scared of cars and buses, the traffic is too scary. I barely even use my bike anymore cuz there's always more risk on a bike. I'm just a pussy for that

I'm not going to lie I believe there is probably some damage done to our bodies through long-term driving. When I am in a car and I try reading something off my phone at the same time it makes me nauseous. Now if I'm not doing anything while being driven I'm fine, but the fact that being driven has the potential to literally make me vomit, means it must have some sort of negative effect on my body that goes unnoticed. Human's weren't made to move at such speeds. All of this purely speculative.

it does. I have always felt that shit since I was a kid. Whenever a takeover happens, Whenever someone else takes over Whenever they make a turn. It's just weird sparks in me that frighten me. I hate being driven yea but I also hate driving cuz I don't know if I can even be good at it and even when I'm good at it the other person won't and it would be the end. Constant fears

If you dont work, dont make vacation, dont have many appointments and dont go shopping groceries regularly, then you probably dont need a drivers license
