There were 2 votes on changing the Irish Constitution. The first one was to change the definition of family to include families that weren't based on marriages (fuck knows what this even means, same-sex marriage was already legal, so probably some effort to make men pay women without even getting married, or to open up polygamy) . 68% of voters voted No. The second was to redefine the role of women in the Constitution, which currently defines them as having duties in the home and implies they have some obligation to raise children. 74% voted against this.

Ireland is pretty religious. About 70% of the population say they're Catholic (one of the most hardcore of Christian denominations).
 
Whenever people directly vote for these far left issues they almost never pass. They only ever pass through politicians that make other claims and then pass on these retarded decisions as a consequence.
