Yeah it's bullshit because then it would mean that a 122 IQ Asian is the equivalent of a 145 IQ cumskin, but I didn't expect Asians and blacks to have a higher SD than whites in the study you linked though.

That could be because blacks have varying degrees of European admixture, with some near 0% white and some 75% white, thus contributing to greater variability in IQ

The study might have also lumped Southeast Asians with genetically superior Northeast Asians

But Asian's SD is still high even with SEA gooks included. I expected it to be 3-4 points below white's SD.

That's true. I'd imagine NE Asians alone having a slightly higher mean but lower SD than whites.

Most scientifi c discoveries have originated from Europe, and Europeans havewon 20 times more Nobel Prizes than have Northeast Asians. We argue that thisis explained not by IQ, but by interracial personality diff erences, underpinned bydiff erences in gene distribution. In particular, the variance in scientifi c achievement is explained by diff erences in inquisitiveness (DRD4 7-repeat), psychological stability (5HTTLPR long form), and individualism (mu-opioid receptor gene;OPRM1 G allele ). Northeast Asians tend to be lower in these psychological traits,which we argue are necessary for exceptional scientifi c accomplishments. Sincethese traits comprise a positive matrix, we constructed a q index (measuring curiosity) from these gene frequencies among world populations. It is found thatboth IQ scores and q index contribute signifi cantly to the number of per capitaNobel Prizes.

I could see that being the case, reminds me of that study I myself posted where Nobel prize winning seemed to correlate with testosterone levels if I remember right.
