ngl that's exactly what one of my friends does. Getting a new $100 phone each year beats getting an expensive $1000 phone every 5 years when it comes to the overall experience, especially when it comes to battery life.
You can't even uninstall facebook on android so I would go for iphone bc better privacy and flex
