Once you read between the lines you start to understand these expectations of collapse aren't fully rational, and by a little bit of induction you start to see them under a Freudian light. A lot gleefully imagine that "after the collapse", they will be able to "buy" women with silver shekels or seduce them more easily due to their rare survival skills or the elimination of most male competition.

The survivalist / gold bug communities have been hit hard by the financial recovery of the last ten years, and have lost a lot of momentum. Those who have followed Zerohedge's investment advice witnessed only the collapse of their wealth.

- The libertarian / Ron Paul community: 85% male, it's a lot about removing barriers to beta providing game. Once the government gets out of the way, women won't be able to count on public assistance or affirmative action anymore and will have to betabux ugly husbands again.

Political/societal groups on the web are coping bigtime but I'd say another factor you're ignoring is that women don't give a shit about much on the internet except for attention-whoring and various forms of social media purely for the sake of simulating social experiences.

And don't give me the cope about "technology will find a way" it's a huge fallacy to confuse technology using energy to make things, and FINDING ENERGY in itself, most of the techhnological present in the last decades is due to fossil fuels, till now all technology did was exploiting this amazing and efficient source of energy, and it's getting depleted, and i'm not even talking about other raw materials. "alternative and renewable" energies are still a huge cope with many problems, a bad energy ratio and still requires a lot of fossil fuel to makes (like solar panels)

Also, only cosmetical changes have been made to the system after the last financial crisis, home prices are still going up while wages are stagnating, and eveeen if technology somewhat finds a solution to ressources depletion and energy, i'm not even beginning to talk about how AI will be disrupting and creates a huuuuge gap between the 1% and the economically useless rest of the population.

Every civilization collapses eventually....though whether it happens within our lifetimes or not is a different question entirely. I don't think it's particularly likely to happen in our lifetime, but this generation is screwed up enough that it could run everything right into the ground in record breaking time once they're the ones running the show.

History rather shows that every civilization evolves into a new one. For instance, the fall of the Roman Empire was actually the evolution of the Roman Empire. It simply moved east and became the Byzantine Empire. There never was any collapse and evidence doesn't support the idea of a "divine justice" punishing a decadent people, popular in far right circles.

Actual civilization collapses are very rare. The collapse of the Inca and Maya civilizations probably qualify, mostly due to disease brought from Europe, as well as the cannibalistic extermination of indigenous inhabitants of certain Pacific islands.

I think atheists probably resent religion mostly because it decreases freedom in the sexual market, and out of bluepillism they think sexual freedom is better for men (when we know it's the exact contrary)
