At the end of the day Venezuela was going to ally (and give their resources to) either the USA or China. Maduro held a meeting with China just a day before we captured him to discuss an alliance. All small states (especially with resources like oil) will be clients/allies to one of the superpowers, and I want it to be US instead of them. America won against China

The United States is a place where you can still talk more than in any other country in the world, from the European Union, Russia, China, and other third-world countries. I'm not that concerned with him. I was curious what we meant. I have mixed feelings on it right now as well now it's wait and see how the dust settles. I'm not worried about Trump but well the CIA has been involved with drug cartels in the 80s in Nicaragua so I don't fully trust them. Also to be fair after the treatment of Russian private property we can see it's no longer that sacred and most of that censorship has come from those influenced largely by American leftism.
