Like... I've been playing Red Faction: Guerrilla recently. It's old but it's very good
Anyway erm... I was walking home a moment ago and thinking about the things I want in life - a good social life, stability, a purpose, love, a source of money, etc. And I realise that many games simply offer you all this on a plate.
In RF:G for example you live with lots of people who also fight for the same cause as you in an almost tribe-like existence. There is a woman there who you are fairly close to throughout the game. And you can get money very easily by mining, finding scrap metal and completing missions and objectives.
Of course, lots of games tick all these boxes too, maybe even by design. I only wish it was half as easy to have all these things in the real world as it is in the virtual world.
