India rewarded shooters of massacres after independence

Instead of hanging the traitors that done massacres in India they were rewarded. For example the traitors that shot at innocent Indians in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre 13th April 1919 were rewarded with cushy jobs and went unpunished after Indian independence. Any self respecting country would have hanged these traitors.
