Actually, on second thought, there were 1 or 2 women I found exceptionally likeable and kind and attractive. But those were always long taken, already married and completely out of my reach, so I never even had the urge to humiliate myself by trying to get with them. Any woman worth loving is already being loved by a multitude of men more desirable than you.

Maybe because of this, I never fell in love with any of them. Encountering the few lovable exceptions among femalekind only made me even more bitter for knowing that someone is sharing his life with one of those women and it will never be me.

Maybe I'm just no longer capable of really loving someone.
