A lot of people conflate masculinity with attractiveness, and incels with being soyboys. This couldn't be further from the truth.

Women actually appear to be attracted to genetic quality, not sheer masculinity. Sure, genetics can once in awhile affect masculinity, but the case mostly rests on the symmetry and aesthetics of the individual. Not only have males become much softer looking through the history of mankind, but women are more than ever attracted to the feminine type of men due to hormonal factors/supply and demand. There are feminine incels, but masculinity + aesthetics is a bonus. Aesthetics are what's needed the most to get laid, and incels have failed in that department. No amount of masculinity will make us start getting laid.

Ironically, inceldom is being blamed on "toxic masculinity".

In my obervation, more balanced softer men are the real "alphas" of society (politicians, lawyers, etc) while hyper-masculine brutes with good genetics are betas (cops, enforcers.) Incels are hyper-masculine men with bad genetics, think "manlet with a bad attitude," soyboys are more balanced softer men with bad genetics, think "manlet with a positive attitude."

What women prefer, generally, is men who are more like them. Who are not totally masculized, but are softer and have balanced masculine/non-toxic traits with good genetics. They want someone that's masculine in the right ways, leader, protector, etc, but somewhat balanced and not "omg this is degeneracy, kill them all!"

Not an angry brute but more of an even-tempered thinker and tactician. That's what women want.
