Incels make the autism community look bad. Why do parents not want to vaccinate their children? When they hear things about vaccines causing autism, they also tie being autistic with being a bunch of loser neckbeards and incels. Why would a parent want that for their children. Now I don’t believe that vaccines DO cause autism (I haven’t seen full proof that it does), but when parents do hear about it, they don’t vaccinate because they, I dunno, want their sons to be all-American quarterbacks and not degenerates like Chris Chan?

This retard pretends that all of this is about image management, as if the biggest problem is how “parents perceive autism.” Meanwhile, actual autistic men are suffering massive romantic deprivation, and have to go through endless bad social experiences. This is exactly the type of surface-level reasoning that treats a real, unavoidable problem as some moral failing. Incels aren’t a problem because of optics, but because society and women make being autistic a death sentence.

The concept of an “autism community” in my opinion doesn’t work because of how people who are basically just slightly socially awkward and have nerdy interests use it. If it was used by people who actually needed the support that you’d expect from something like a community maybe it would be different, but while it’s dominated by people who are only just nerdy and a little awkward nothings going to change and they’re always going to judge you
