Pantera are probably my favourite metal band! Hatebreed are cool too. I listen to a lot of hardcore and grindcore bands personally. Pig Destroyer are my favourite grindcore band, check them out dude if you're into heavy stuff!

Limp dikzit, those guys are lame asf. Fred Durst was the cringiest guy in the nu-metal scene. Total wigger. I guess in a way he was playing a character most of the time but still very cringy imo.
