He can't even get into grad school because no prof will work with him.

This is the real issue, whether people here like to hear it or not. Big tech companies are ultra-SJW and believe that no white man can do good, and if he does, he still isn't worth hiring because he is racist, privileged, etc. Hell, I only got a job because I applied at a small company where the owner is a Trump guy. That's my advice to your friend.

The short and ugly just makes it even worse... The one or two white guys they HAVE to hire to save face are tall and good looking.
