Our only biological purpose on this earth is to find a mate and reproduce, we evolved only to survive better and keep reproducing. When you deprive an individual of the fundamental purpose for which he was born, how can you expect him to do well in all other aspects of his life? You have effectively deprived that individual of his biological life purpose.
