Being a university professor in mathematics requires so many skills beyond just a very high iq. People managing skills are probably quite important as well. And at least nowadays from what I've seen at my university, professors are usually decent looking. They have great social skills. Physically bigger than most students. Just overall they seem to have good genetics. The ones that could have been celibate were probably just uninterested in women.

No, I don’t think this is true, I am very interested in women , but have been rejected an entire lifetime, at the age of 57 , I have never been out on a date , I have never even had a cup of coffee with a female...What you are saying has Bluepill overtones...
