Inceldom is definitely at a level where it can be considered a social issue… and it probably always was to an extent, we just made a term for it more recently. To be clear for the purposes of this post, I consider it a social issue on par with anything else like racial tension or housing crisis; things that no one views positively. However, inceldom is unique in that you actually have large fractions of the population that are glad about it. It's not just that they don't care, they are actively happy about it.
Radical feminists are glad that many men today are alone, because they hate men in general for supposedly oppressing them (of course untrue, but that's not the topic of this post). They know that the only way they can meaningfully hurt men is in terms of denying them sex, so when they see men who are involuntarily celibate, it gives them a surge of joy and power.
Likewise—and this is something that comes more from personal experience—many religious cult members who cling to hardline, hyper-purist doctrine also see it as a good thing. I've gone to religious people who should have had compassion on me and recognized the pain I was in, instead they considered my so-called "purity" as something to be proud of. These cults WANT you alone because (a) it gratifies them on some perverse ideological level and (b) you are theoretically easier to exploit for them, with promises of a better future (although I can see through this).
In conclusion, I'm not just typing alone at 2 am in a vacuum… there are people out there who are glad this is the case. I feel so powerless knowing there are people laughing in glee at the fact that this is my life. How much longer until revenge is imperative? This has gotten out of control.
