Since our genes will never pass on, we will be forgotten. Modern day relationships have always been rooted in nature, whether it is platonic or romantic. We were meant to die without passing down our genes. For the sake of humanity why would any parent want to raise a child that will never have children of their own? Our genes were not meant to continue existing ,so for the sake of the betterment of our species we created social contracts on who gets to reproduce. We did create religion and laws to make sure hypergamy is kept at a reasonable balance and society doesn't crash and burn due to an overwhelming amount of men not having babies. But religion is not as relevant as it used to be and thots exist within religious communities these days anyways. The liberalization of the west may have cause some positive things such as knowledge spreading freely, free speech, freedom of association, free enterprise etc. but the negative impacts it had on the sexual/dating markets was slowly rising these past few decades. Women got the right to vote and then we had two world wars. Now were here. On a goddamn website with other people who will never have children or any sexual encounter outside of prostitution. We were meant to die, but we are still here.
