This series caught my attention because Reddit normcucks often bash it. Its about a man who suffers from leprosy, gets knocked out in an accident, and wakes up in a magical fantasy world, and the main events of the novel take place there. I'm only on the first book, but, while not great, it is an entertaining read. Also, the first book was published in 1977, so there's very little woke virtue signaling crap that you find in books written after around 2010 (i've had to stop reading a lot of the newer shit).
Normies hate the main character, Thomas Covenant, because he's bitter and has very low self-esteem from being a leper (he is NOT an incel though, as he is married, but his wife leaves him when he gets sick). When he's transported to the fantasy world, he thinks he's in a dream and doesn't believe whats happening, and remains bitter throughout. I find him very relatable, and he's extremely insecure about his appearance and in the "real world", people treat him like shit
