Well it is actually true that things are very diverse. The problem with gatekeeping is that everyone believes in different cel criteria.
Some think richcel are volcel
Some think whitecel are volcel
Some think tallcel are volcel
Additionally, even when it comes to sex people disagree on what is incel or not. Some believe any type of sex counts, while others think escortmaxxing or betabuxxing isn't a true relation, so even with sex in those cases they still believe someone is an incel.
The only thing that we can really decipher is that if someone hasn't had sex, for whatever reason, they can probably be called an incel, because a lot of the criteria are pretty arbitrary. It's also reasonable to for people to consider themselves incel even if they pay escorts or betabuxx, because they may consider inceldom as lacking a deep connection, which is a fair view to have.
