They must be durable. I've had New Balance, Sketchers, and Nike with none of them lasting more than 6 months. I wear hiking shoes and they seem to be invulnerable.

the puma sneakers are very durable indeed, I don’t know how they lasted this long. Converse was my previous pair they lasted a few years aswell, I wore them until they fell apart.
