consider burning dvd and blu-rays for long term cold storage, get the Japanese blu rays, they are alot better

Idk disks seem obsolete I’m thinking of making my own cloud storage type thing with like lots of 1TB hard drives. So I’ll need to setup some home server or something

the advantage of disc is power consumption, no need of a server on all the time. hard drives can get fucked without power for a long time. but if you can afford a NAS, then go for it
