There's a girl on /soc/ who preys on incellish men. Her scheme is to lovebomb you until you fall in love with her, express romantic intentions towards you and then suddenly tell you that everything was a lie.
She does it because she gets a kick out of it and claims 3 people fell victim to her and killed themselves as a result just in the last year alone without anyone even having noticed. She implies it works because those're people who "would've killed themselves anyway".

I disagree because I made long lasting internet friendships in the past that just started off in VC and know people who've met their girlfriends this way.
Also, this had nothing to with being retarded in my case. She was incredibly dedicated to the point that it would be questionable if she actually wasn't interested in me considering how many of the things I said she remembered throughout our convos and make eg. a witty reference about obscure year-old post on my reddit.
Lastly, feeling attracted to someone is about emotions not thoughts. And if you're extremely deprived of any meaningful human connection, you're vulnerable to it. I don't even have contact to my parents.
