This would happen to me in school, I would try to talk to girls and they wouldn't even respond to anything I say. I was assigned in a group project with 3 other girls, and when I asked how I could help in the project they ignored my question completely, like I was a subhuman unworthy of being acknowledged. Then they went to the teacher to complain that I wasn't doing anything when they were the ones ignoring me. Another time I tried to make conversation with a girl sitting next to me, she said something to me then I asked her what music she liked or something. Then she just ignored me completely and I never talked to her again.

In highschool this was terrible. Even the people I would have almost called my "friends" (even though they never invited me anywhere outisde of school, and would leave when I sat down with them) never wanted anything to do with me. If you are treated badly in highschool it is almost certain you will be treated the same for the rest of your life.
