I have never talked to any foid about anything except if she is in the same group as me for a particular project, even if I try talking about something they just give one word answers and want to avoid you as much as possible when the work is done.

I have adjusted to that over the years. Giving short clear answers helped keeping a 'social distance' so I won't end up feeling upset. If there is interest(which there won't be any of) it would stick out making it noticable.
