I have been criticised for this from my parents from a young age for my interest in violent video games (basically just my mother)
My favourite example of this is when I boot up hitman blood money and shoot the shit out of everybody on pro and just get as many before I die (in hitman: Blood money)
Do this in the mission "A New Life" and it feels very close to home

Yes, when I was in college, and even for quite a few years afterward, I used Fallout 3 as my personal rage shooting ground sandbox simulator. It was a truly cathartic experience.

In Fallout 3, of course.
