As far as I know becoming a priest requires a lot of money and bribing others and being social and what not. If you can make it as a priest you could make it as a Chadlite as well. 

I think you might mean monk but that also requires money altho lesser amounts. In most western countries both priests and monks.come.from.estemed established families who are already rich and relevant. I have no idea about Islam but I presume it is the same.
