As if being a complete failure in social and romantic relationships isnt enough, im also comically unlucky when it comes to one of my few copes, gaming. My first GPU for my PC was the 2060 Super and i had to return it because my PC crashed every time i launched a game. And since they didnt had the same or a similar Nvidia GPU in stock wihout me having to pay extra, i was forced to pick the Radeon 5600 XT. And that GPU tends to crash especially UE games,but also other games like 7 Days to die or Red Dead 2. Cant even enjoy gaming without being more unlucky than a cartoon character.

Dont think so, i think its more so that many games are just not optimized for AMD. Because some games work without my GPU crashing like GTA Online or Sea of Thieves, while i get an AMD error for games like Red Dead 2 or 7 Days to die

with AMD it could be driver issue, some versions will work and some won't. Users of AMD graphics cards usually don't auto update if everything works.

Just had my PC crash and Adrenaline software uninstalled itself for no fucking reason. Meanwhile the 2050 RTX in my laptop runs fine without many issues. Now i got reminded again why i prefer Nvidia

nVidia is more reliable because they spend far more in quality control, hardware, etc... But, arguing with AMD fans is like smashing your head against a wall. I buy the best product, I don't care if a corporation is beating another corporation. They'll all fuck me and smile.

While i never had massive issues with my gpus, i had some gpu that i don't remember but next one was ati radeon 9550 -> 4850 -> 6850 (it broke but warranty gave me next gpu for free) -> 7850 -> gtx 1060 -> rx 5700 xt

That's a cope there are no quality control in their drivers they are now inferior to AMD which is funny, with hardware they only give a fuck about gaytracing and i don't give a fuck about it so i'm not motivated at all to upgrade my old gpu that doesn't support that gay shit.

I would buy Nvidia only because of Cuda and tensor cores that are used in ai programs and rtx remix which is actually a good implementation of raytracing tech unlike modern dogshit blurry AAA games.

AMD just moved to AI which made prices even worse so i see zero point in buying AMD gpus anymore. Nvidia better move their ass right now and fix their shitty drivers before it's too late.

according to the repair workshop I've seen, they said the opposite, companies that make GPUs with Nvidia chips they reduce the cost of the component base, everything is lower quality there, could be because chip itself costs more so they spend less on other components to make profit.

RDR2 wouldn't run on that gpu anyway, that trash game is highly unoptimized. Also learn how to uninstall drivers with DDU and then install newest drivers.

My gtx 1060 zotac shit that was on the top of the chip and was holding fans broke since it was made of plastic

Ray tracing and AI bullshit has nothing to do with drivers and game stability.

Don't get me wrong, I wish nVidia would have a GPU option that's "here's good raster with enough VRAM and none of this other nonsense" and we're paying for that nonsense. Frame gen is really just marketing now, and AMD is now just as guilty with propietary FSR 4 being nVidia's poor stepbrother.

Yeah, it remains tk be seens as I am still running an NVIDIA GPU myself.
I only have it because I got a whole system for an insane bargain at a time when GPU prices were even worse than now.

But I will get an RX 6600 soon, though, with a new mainboard and CPU.

I got RX 6600 last year, upgrading from 1660 super. Its a great card, stronger than what it says on the paper. In some games it doubled my FPS compared to 1660 super, like in Hogwarts Legacy. Look at prices around you, depending on their stock you might get the 6700 for just ten dollars more.

Good thing its supports frame generation, which does doubles the fps, it does feels much smoother. But fucks up input latency, so it should be turned off in competitive online games.

I have made the experience that in mp game I perform best when my fps is consistent and the frametime as well.

That is far more important. Fluctuating framerates tire my eyes.

I used to pla mp fps at locked 30 fps because my pc could not handle more, back then.

It worked for me.
