I mean....she does make some fair points. But those are only going to help him a little at the margins.
Here is the main deal here- we have a blue collar guy who works but is probably making about 45k or whatever. And it's not like he has much potential there. The biggest factor for everything/everyone, of course, is looks and he could best be described as just ordinarily unattractive. He's not deformed or anything, but from his hairline to his eyes to the general outline of his face there is nothing that is appealing. His body habitus(people on here pay way too much attention to height specifically) is poor. Furthermore women can see that this guy is 26 and can easily see what he is going to turn into in his late 30s/early 40s and it's going to be even worse. Whereas other 26 yo guys that are also 3/10 types may be able to age better going forward. And then even past the looks and the career, you have a guy who is giving off a strong right wing/outdoorsy/2nd amendment type vibe(which may actually help him in some ways, see below)
This guy does obviously have a 'type' that he's going to match best with, and it's someone who fits the following makeup:
-white girl about his age, likely from both a rural and conservative background
-working class; probably works as a cashier or something. Maybe a waiter at a diner
-HS diploma only or some community college/trade school(rns and teachers probably won't go for him iow)
-family oriented/some value system and not be into thugs(this is important) and also be into conforming to structure, the rules of society, etc. Also she probably would want to get married and have kids fairly soon
-below average looks but not 1/10 level bad. She should be somewhat overweight, have a below average face, etc.
Like I could easily see a girl like this giving him a chance. I see matches like this in real life all the time. And oftentimes they don't appear miserable.
My suspicion though, is that he isn't consistently swiping right on all these girls. He's probably hoping to get like an average looking school teacher or registered nurse about his age and that's what he is targeting. He isn't going to get that. I know the numbers say he is swiping right a ton, but I wonder if he is swiping right on these girls. Because a girl who fits the above is very clearly his match in every way, and so if he is to have any hope of finding a partner thats what he needs to target

thats the thing- I'm not sure they are. My guess is two factors are at work- the first is that this type of girl I described above is underrepresented to begin with in his area on tinder I bet. If he were swiping in say.....Dothan, Al....I bet he would have a better shot because there would be a higher percentage of girls like that. The second, and I think bigger factor, is that I wonder what the denominator is on those swipes......if it's 3.5 million, for example, that means he's definately eliminating a high enough percentage of women where I would bet the ones he is eliminating are the type I described above. Which like I said is the *only* possible match for him. The issue is whether he wants that match, or is just saying "no thanks, I'll volcel it".......
My guess(and granted I don't know for sure) is that it's the latter and he is holding out for a higher caliber women in several domains. Like he feels he deserves a 5/10 school teacher or nurse or whatever. And he's way overshooting if he feels that.
I know this is not a popular statement, but if we are being honest with ourselves there are tons of pairings in the real world between guys like that and the type of girl I just described. Some of them meet online; some of them didn't. The fact that these pairings clearly exist in fairly decent numbers out there(ie go to any walmart in the south or midwest and thats like 30% of the married couples lol) lead me to believe he's not been receptive to that so far.
I'd also like to know where he lives, and what the geographic range these 2 million swipes were in. Like I've never done tinder, but didd he get to 2 million swipes by him just doing a nationwide search?(I would assume thats the only way to get to such a large number right? How many female users in the whole US does tinder even have?) If so, it makes a lot more sense then because many girls are going to either prevent them from seeing anyone not within 60-90 miles or swipe left on anyone so far away.
Just lots of unanswered questions that would likely help put that 2 million number in context.
