Didn’t read but he’s live rnTaking this thread in a slightly more serious direction for a bit: having a leader is not always the unifying, strengthening maneuver many here may think it is. Overtime installing a leader to head a group can more easily lead to power struggles, infighting, jealousy and a cult of personality forming around the more dedicated true believers. Imo it would then be made much easier to demoralize and sow division among a group that has a defined leader.
This has played out countlessly among many political groups and movements. For this reason many "leaderless" type 'movements' have come about that are not so easily prone to infiltration, co-option or attempts to sow division. tbh while leaders can offer valualbe expertise and guidance to a group, they are still prone to succumbing to ego, hubris and becoming too overconfident from past successes. All you have to do imo is look at the blind obedience of many in MAGA to Trump and whatever decisions he makes to see how this can start to unravel pretty quickly.
