In what manner do you listen to music?

This is a pretty lighthearted post, but I am just curious.

For me, I am the type that becomes grossly fixated on one particular song and cannot help but listen to it ad nauseam until I have deconstructed, as well as consumed, every single morsel of the track that I can.
And then it goes into the charnel until it is reanimated due to the passage of time.

I just find a playlist for the song and listen to the ones similar mostly doujin or jpop

If it has lyrics, i listen mostly for melody. Could be singing about anything, i wouldnt know.

There are times i listen for lyrics.

I listen like an autist, repeatedly, and i skip around to good parts.

You summed it up pretty well for me actually, thank fuck for the internet and digital music so I can spend every waking moment of my life plugged in listening. Thinking about it now it explains how I can spend so much time listening to music and still have a completely mainstream knowledge of it, hell I spent 4 years just listening to Metallicas first 3 albums.
