I would suggest C++ or maybe JavaScript depends on what you are planning on doing with it, I would try to find whatever language is most common with what you wanna do. It isn't very easy imo so be ready for rape.

I wanna make a game, but I wouldn’t be opposed to doing other things as well, I’ve been thinking about making an AI for doing crazy shit with.

Visual basic is actually easy for simple stuff
C# isnt as easy but you can do more after the learning curve
